Use clues carefully so you narrow the puzzle without removing the fun.
Track confirmed letters
Green letters are locked in place. Yellow letters belong in the word but need a new position. Gray letters should be excluded unless the puzzle has duplicate letters.
Use balanced guesses
Good early guesses test common vowels and consonants. Later guesses should focus on the clue pattern rather than random new letters.
Avoid full spoilers
Use a helper to narrow the list, then make your own final guess. That keeps the puzzle challenging.
